My pottery journey began way, way back when I first took an elective pottery class in college and found I loved it. Unfortunately, it was 20 + years before I would take another pottery class at a community college in Portland. Another 20 or so years after that and still a novice, I was given a pottery wheel from my husband as a gift. It wasn't until after I retired 7 years ago, however, that I was finally able to dedicate more time to seriously develop my skills as a potter. I predominantly do hand building at this time but my goal is to master the wheel. I'd also like to learn to formulate my own glazes. I'm excited for the opportunities to learn and receive support from fellow members of the BGAA! I have so much to learn!!
