The Battle Ground Art Alliance Show has become the largest juried show in southwest Washington and drew record crowds this year. Local artists displayed over 150 works of art in a variety of media: wood, fiber, prints, sculpture, photography, glass, drawing, collage, art quilts, mosaic, oil, pastel, acrylic, watercolor, jewelry, egg art, textiles, basketry, garden art, pottery, gourds, leather, and mixed media.
The Battle Ground Art Alliance appreciates the participation of all the artists as we work together with the community to promote the arts.
The Battle Ground Art Alliance Spring Art Show is sponsored by the community through monetary donations from local businesses and patrons. Donations were received from, Fred Meyers, The Reflector, Battle Ground Produce, Cedar Creek Writers, and numerous individuals. Artist Award Sponsors selected an art piece and gave an award to a particular artist. Artists sponsers included: Mill Creek Pub, Celebration Jewelers, Northwood Public House & Brewery, and GFWC.
This show would not be such a success without the generous donations and support we receive from the community. The Battle Ground Art Alliance is a 501c3 nonprofit group, formed in 2001 to support and encourage artists in our community, and to increase public awareness of the arts.
This year in place of our annual show, we held an Art in the Park event, where artists could sign up to be vendors and set up their own outdoor booths. It was a great success and a lot of fun for the community!
